I am doing my changeover from 32v to 24v on a '53 Hatteras with 8v71ti engines.
On the alternator there are 2 wires - neg (Black) to ground on starter and pos (Red) 6AWG to positive starter post.
In the middle of the red 6AWG wire is this device which I have no idea what it is or why it is...
I'm having great results with Starlink. So far no problems and am very happy with the results.
Before Starlink I spent a lot of money and frustration trying to get a Digital Yacht 4Gconnect and WL510 working but that system failed horribly.
Just for the record in case anyone needs to do this in the future. The refrigerant lines are wound around another piece and definitely too big to come out the front.

After many hours of trying to take the face off (and some broken wood pieces) it seems to me that the face is built into the breaker panel.
Maybe there are screws that come into the back of it behind the breaker panel? I don't really want to pull the service panel out to replace an air...
I need to replace the Air Handler on the port side of the helm on a 1977 53' Hatteras MY.
For those of you who have had to do this before what is the preferred method of getting to the air Handler?

I have several hoses in the bilge which are capped at both ends and don't serve a purpose to me. I'm wanting to get these out of here as I clean up the bilges.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't remove these hoses?
