    Morning funny

It is a slow day in the small town of Podunk, and streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody is living on credit. A tourist visiting the area drives through town, stops at the motel, and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs to...

    GalleyMaid Support/Service

My Galley Maid windlass (BBHW) started acting, sounding like it was under heavy load when retrieving the anchor when it was only pulling chain, no real load. Called GM and spoke with Ernie and he knew exactly what was wrong, that I had a gear worn out. He sent my the parts breakdowns and...

    Factory tour

I'm going to be near the Hatteras plant in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if they have tours of the factory available and if anyone has the name of the person to contact for this. Thanks, Roger

    Northern Boats

Okay, I sold my 43DC and am now looking for a 42/48LRC. If someone wants to buy a boat that is in storage in cold country, how does it work? You can't survey and sea trial until spring? May seem like a silly question, but I don't understand how it would work. Thanks, Roger

    Fuel use

Why would one engine use 2 times the fuel as the other? It appears that in four days running the river the starboard has used twice the fuel as the port. The port tank supplies the genset. 1973 43 DC with 8V53’s

    What are theses-Why?

I have found several of these attached to the hull. They look like speakers and have small speaker looking type wire. In the first picture you can see 2 black rings where others have been removed. I have found them in various location in bilge areas. Thanks, Roger

    Ladder needed!!

I need the ladder that goes from the aft deck to the swim platform for a 1973 43 DC. It is 60 inches from the deck level to the swim platform. Thanks, Roger

    Head treatment systems

Gentlemen I am looking to close on a 1973 43 DC this week and need to add Raritan treatment systems for the heads. I would like to know if it best to have just 1 system for both heads, less maintenance, or 2 systems for redundancy. If you could also help in where the systems are best located...

    Snake problem

I am trying to help an ill friend get his boat ready for summer and when I opened the hatch over the Genset I was greeted by a copperhead about 20 inches long. Does anyone have ideas on what I can use to convince this most unwanted visitor to leave?

    Do you know this boat?

If any one has any information (good, bad or otherwise) about the 1972 YF listed below I would appreciate it. I am looking at making an offer on the boat in the next couple of days. Boat is named the Madd Hatter. Previous names were The Happy Camper and Happy Hour...
