Has anyone secured cockpit hatches with hinges and a latch? These hatches in our cockpit just sit on gaskets, and to access the locker you have to lift the complete hatch and put it somewhere. and hope it does not fall on someone. It would be great to hinge and add shocks to hold them open. Has...

How have others solved this problem. We have a full enclosure for the bridge on our 52' convertable (no issues here) We also have a complete cockpit enclosure (no issues here) How do you enclose the top of the bridge ladder to keep water from running into cockpit?
