Went to the show today. Ten bucks admission not bad. Plenty of CC mfgs in the show and a number of good boating related vendors. The ticket stub had a drink bogo at several places down town so we went to "The Lodge" for a brew and deep fried pickles. Not bad, good show.

It would be easy to assume what the tension is providing the lift is straight up. However with these transom davits, we have a winch pulling up on an angle, and hinge points that make it all more complicated. I swagged some of this and if the dink is 800 lbs, it could be as much as 1400 lbs...
