On my quest for my next Hatteras I came upon this option. I boarded her yesterday. The interior was nicely redone in Art Deco if you like that style. Me, not so much. The electronics were all original, a little wood rot on the gunwales near the bow, water in the bilges and 3 engines. I'm used...
Flew in to Seattle to look at a 1979 CPMY. Pics on line looked nice. In person it was so derelict I didn’t even board it. Save your time and money and avoid this old girl. I’ve seen Bayliners abandoned in better condition. The search continues. The broker who is a nice guy and who was the...
I'm looking at a 1989 80 foot Hatteras that was formerly known as Topps that was located in Fort Lauderdale for a few years. Are any of you familiar with the boat? It's now known as Unique Skills..
Thanks
I recently sold my 63 CPMY and am looking at a 58 YF. In beam seas with stabilizers my 63 would still roll a little. With a beam reduced by 2 feet does the YF roll very much with stabilizers? I plan on boating in the PNW.
Thanks
https://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1987/hatteras-cockpit-motor-yacht-mg--3856169/My Hatteras is now with the broker. Check out the video. It gives you a great feel of the layout of a 63 galley down CPMY
Friend of mine is looking at 53 Hatteras MY with a rotten foredeck that has been surveyed as structurally unsound. Boat also has diesel fuel pooling on top of the fiberglass tanks. I've told him to walk away but he still thinks it is a good deal. I'm thinking maybe 100 boat bucks to fix both...
The tach on my port 12V71TI went out over the weekend. I traced the cable and found where it had been knocked loose. It looks like a sender will need to be replaced. Who makes these and where could I find one? I don't think Sams has them. This metal pin came out from the bottom of the sender.

This video was taken before the new bimni top, new aft micron windows and new Marquit sea stairs with rotating platform were added.
I've decided to sell my beloved Hatteras. Below is a full description. The broker is going to list...
I've never owned a Carver nor care to ever own one. This video adds to my sentiment. Glad no one lost a life.

I'm looking for the old style 8 pin Ram Mic that would of fit an older Standard Horizon VHF. My radio works great but the RAM Mic coating is starting to decay. If you have one sitting around after replacing your radio let me know. Standard Horizon doesn't sell or service them anymore. Thanks!
I use a Headhunter pump for pressurizing my fresh water system. Over the past month when my fresh water tanks are about 1/2 full the pump seems to suck in air. I've tightened all of the visible hose clamps I can find connected to the water tanks. My next step is to disconnect the pipe from...
Out of pure curiosity I searched to see if Masterplan in Miami was still doing charters. He is and he hired some amazing looking models to do a promo shoot on his boat. Its worth looking at the video just for the flesh he hired.
I noticed he put a hot tub in his cock pit. I wasn't aware that...
This is not a political thing but just a question. I respect everyone's choice regarding politics and their choices.
Today I've got a Trump boat parade leaving my marina. I found out about this yesterday by chance. It was posted all over Instagram and Facebook but I missed it. Apparently there...
My Marquipt davit crane failed today. The stand pipe came off of its foundation, snapped in two and ripped out from the fly bridge fiberglass. I was lowering my novurania davit in still waters. My boat had 1/4 tank of fuel so I’m guessing it was max at 700 pounds. The davit is rated for at...
In prepping for a long trip I'm trying to decide between storing diesel in a fuel bladder in my aft cockpit or by using ten 55 gallon plastic drums for holding fuel. I want to hold an extra 500 gallons. I'm assuming the cockpit can handle the extra 3500 pounds of weight if I spread the barrels...
I'm going to replace my old HRO water maker as they no longer make parts for it. I've been looking online and found a small company called Sun Pure Water Makers. Has anybody used their product before? It looks fairly simple with non proprietary parts which means lower cost...
My headhunter pump has been working fine until recently. When I wake up in the morning I don't have any water pressure. When I look at the pump there are not any abnormal lights on the board.
I have to open a water faucet and then flip the circuit breaker for the pump to work. It works fine...
My Onan 20 KW runs fine if I push the start/stop button on the generator. When trying to operate it from the helm the switch does nothing. It was working a couple of days ago. Is there a fuse behind the electrical panel to change or is it just a bad toggle switch that needs changing?
Little fly over video of my 63’ CPMY
I was told to remove this video because the flag on my boat is a political statement. If I offended anybody with my flag my apologies. I was not trying to violate the rules of this forum with making political statements. In fact I didn't say a word. To...
