Has anyone out there ever had to fix a leaking steering box? I have a 1971 43DC single station. I am on a trip [now in Punta Gorda] and need to get this fixed quickly. Can I simply put in kit or need to send off to get rebuilt? Any ideas anyone??

I have[ 2] 32 volt alternators which appear to be new--one is single pulley and the other double. I will have them bench tested if sold.
