Based on comments here on the forum, I tried Lust, from Total Boat. I'm impressed! Dont know how long lasting or durable it will be, but so far, great. This is 3 of a planned 10 coats.
After completing the forward guest Stateroom to self contained AC, I've started on the Salon. It's a 24k unit. I went with a Marinaire self contained system. The Marinaire compressor is in a sound shield and has a low startup Amperage at 17. It's also controllable from your smartphone!. It's...
Finally got my new sofas in. They are modular and fit through the doorway easily. 29". They are from GLASTOP Marine. Fine folks and can make whatever you want in any fabric. Plan on an 8 week lead time. These have storage under the cushions.
I'm headed to Florida with a buddy Monday to look at a few boats. He saw a 61' and wanted to know if it would be worth looking at. He loves my 63' and the 61' is about identical. The boats name is "Wanderer" in Fort Myers.. Anybody know the boat? Worth scheduling a look?
A friend and I are bringing a 52' Regal from Dysart Marina in Maine, down to Wilmington NC next week. Range is about 320 miles on the boat. Any suggestions for ports to stay in, and places to miss? We'll be running 20-25kts depending on sea conditions.
Didn't want to hijack the other flooring thread. When I'm done, the only carpet on the boat will be the master stateroom and salon. Floor is being finished in flooring polyurethane in semigloss. In the pics, some of it is unfinished.
Doing some remodeling and turning downstairs dinette (I'm galley up) into an office. PO paid over 2k to have this table made. It's mahogany with brass and black inlay. Clear epoxy finish. Some minor scratches. Call Scopanich to price a new one. It's approximately 28 x 49, with leg and wall mount...
My A C Generator selector switch broke today. Anybody got a source for a new one. This is not the DC battery selector/isolator. It's the AC generator selector switch. Thanks
My weekend project. The seals I removed had a rectangular cross section. The ones I see as replacements have a circular cross section. Anybody got a part number for the double stack seals? I've got the dunking formula, how long should I let the HE soak?
I'm going to install my 3rd Jabsco 3 inch, flange mount DC blower for my generator room. The 1st one died shortly after I got the boat, and I got about 3 years out of the second one, and I think it should have lasted much longer..but whatever. This time I'm installing a 12v unit with a...
This Hatt has been side tied at the Bight in Key West for quite some time. Absolute Lady is absolutely gorgeous! The side windows are fixed pane glass, mahogany/teak trim all around. This is the poster child for Classic Hatteras MY's. I'm soo jealous ...
As we approach Memorial Day, remember the reason for the Holiday. Like many Veterans, this time of year, I give thanks that I'm here, and remember those that are not. We served, others sacrificed.
