I viewed it on the way to Texas about six weeks ago and can give some details. The astounding part is the owner spent *$175,000* on *two* Seakeeper gyros just two years ago. And now the whole boat gyros and all, is for sale for $275,000....and they'd probably take $250,000 or less still ...

Cost to replace the tinted lexan "eyelid" that surrounds a Hat 58 flybridge ? Can barely see thru it. Naturally broker says we can polish with compound to clear it up...maybe...but almost certainly never as clear as new. Does Hat still sell these or would local glass shop have to duplicate it...

in other words we like the idea of the aft deck being open, with perhaps canvas at most. Were those "hard" enclosures done by Hatteras of always done later ? I do see potential problems with it being "open" with no canvas or anything, since the flybridge extension is shorter than the transom...

I understand the basic concept of turbo inter cooled and after cooled but why would this marine engine surveyor think the TA turbo was better on an older (1985 to 1993 in this case) Detroit 12V71T ? Is it that the TI model is cooled by salt water but the TA is cooled by fresh water ? ... Or ?
