Kitchenaid model KVSR22FUSS00 full size stainless refrigerator.... came with boat...looks like brand new...probably 4 years old.
Water function works fine, but will not make a single cube of ice. Ice maker function is turned on. Filter is clean. Manual states the unit needs 30 PSI to work...
In my case Flotec FP4012-10 pump. Pump appears as new but no power getting to it. Runs perfectly when powered from alternative source of power....nothing wrong with pump or its pressure switch.
Found the positive wire was running thru a relay hidden behind the maze of wiring behind circuit...
Only 8 of the 65 CP MY's were built...dunno how many MY only style but probably more than 8. Lazzara Yachts in Tampa can tell you.
Below is what may be an even rarer Viking, a 63 CP MY. This one is sitting in a marina in downtown Fort Meyers, FL... not for sale, just thought it interesting and...
To recap, the salon compressor was freezing up as well as both the air handler evaporator coils that were powered by that one compressor/condenser. This tuned out to be mostly because one of the two handler fans was not functioning. Freed up the stuck fan and the situation greatly improved...
As of today, I do. Fairly large one too.... Groco ARG-1250... feeds all the AC units. Took the strainer out today to clean it, back in tighten the cap by hand, then just a little more with the special spanner wrench...no hammer or anything...just a little more by hand....and it stripped..went...
The ideal would not be a thick overhaul manual (although that would be interesting to have if the price was right), and not "operations" or "parts" per se....but a manual that simply shows where all the various components are on the engine and what it's function is.
I suspect the parts manual...
Hauled unto the aft flybridge chocks of a 65 footer with Marquipt 1000 lb capacity davit ? Best I can tell the boat weights 650 lbs, motor 214 lbs...but with some fuel and "stuff" might be approaching the capacity of the davit.
Rather have 12 foot RIB CC inflatable but there are better...
is freezing up of the tubing on the compressor and portions of the air handler radiator a symptom of needing more refrigerant ? I've tried three different companies to come out and work on it but they are all "covered up" for three weeks, so I get to wondering if one of those DIY recharge kits...
1. Are they naturally red in color, or only so via the special red oil that is applied after cleaning them ?
2. When you buy replacements new are they pre oiled, ready to use ?
3. Suggestions on where to buy the cleaning kit and oil, and/or replacement filters online ?
To my own amazement I was so obsessed over the oil/oil and fuel filter/impeller change I forgot to take a photo of the engine room. Dunno why the first photo is sideways as it is properly vertical in my files. Now, am I ex communicated from the Hatteras forum for buying a Viking ?
I...
Changing the secondary fuel filter was easy....but those two oil filters...what a PITA. On starboard engine I was able to have a 5 gallon bucket under them to capture the mess but on the port engine the bottoms of the filters were way to close to engine support rails to get a bucket under. I...
(500 miles from the boat otherwise I'd just look at the actual parts or past paperwork)
1. Typically, how many oil filters does each 12v71TA engine use ? (1993 vintage)
2. Is the coolant impeller integral to each engine and would that be a Detroit part specifically ?
3. Do ZF Marine...
I can't point to a specific boat or specific oil change system yet (other than to say it is not AlgaeX !) but wonder about any general tips on changing oil in dual 12v71TA's if there is an oil pump out system in place.
And would the Onan 20Kw generator tend to be plumbed into the same...

On the one hand it makes...
Oil change, filter change/service, Airsepts clean/re-oil filters....what else ? Engines do have integral oil change pump. Would do it myself but boat too far away. Typical cost in Ft Meyers, FL ?
What I mean is not the LOA, but that absolute length...from the end of the swim platform to the end of the bow pulpit...even the end of the anchor for that matter. Reason I want to know is the marina we might want to use rents slips via slip length and is pretty strict on the total length...
Something may pop up on Craigs List but any dealers from Tampa to Naples that might have used RIB inflatables in stock that you guys know of ? Prefer standard 4 stroke OB type but might consider a jet type.
Length, thinking around 11 feet, OB from 25 to 40 hp
"galley down"... any photos of modified dinettes that are more comfortable ?
Say on the 1977 to 1989, 53 to 60 Hatteras....any of you modified the dinette to make it a "U" shape or anything ? Original is not terrible of course but not the most comfortable thing in the world either....thinking...
That is interesting and funny (decor, clothing, 8 track) but I couldn't find a new boat going from shed into the water for the first time film.

Note the twin beds in the Master stateroom... I thought that was mostly a yacht fish thing...apparently no...
