Steve answered a question about an intermittant fan. It has been keeping me up at night when the fan would go off with the compressors. He gave me the sequence to reset the the SMXIR controls and it took 20 seconds to reset both. Thanks Steve!

I am considering the removal of the starboard storage compartment next to the berth in the aft cabin. Looks like doing so will widen the berth by 8 inches or so. Then custom making a matress to fit the new widened area. Any one performed this operation on a twin berth 43DC?

We had a discussion a while back regarding a 43 DC sitting lower in the bow than usual. I can now say that when the fuel tanks are 1/4 full, my 1971 sits low in the bow. Never been this low before , and must say the boat bobs at the dock more. This condition will be rectified Wednesday.

I have 3 Cruiseaire units onboard. The one for the staterooms requires topping off 1 x every 45 days. It takes about 3/4 of a lb to bring back to peak efficiencey. All the easily accesessed things have been checked for leaks. Wondering if anyone has had success with adding stop leak?

Finally on Fin a lee, I am down to fixing the last few things. Even got the original Auto Pilot working. She is a 43 DC that was customized in the 80s' by Hurley Hatteras. That is when the central Vac went in. The hose is missing. Does anyone have a lead on where I might get a used one?
