    Help! Appropriate hose for engine intake? 1979 46c 871TI

    Installed freshly rebuilt sea water pumps on both engines past weekend. Old suction hose was 2 7/8, and a caliper on all fittings agrees. Tryed to install new 2 7/8 shieldsflex II hose on the pump suction side fitting, but could not get hose tight on pump fitting, all the way up to snapping...

    cleaning bronze housings

    sea water pump housings to be specific. Have them completely stripped and looking for something to remove grease, grime, green corrosion, etc.. Thought I saw somebody reference TSP in a previous post-will this do it? Other suggestions?

    diaphragm pump on holding tank

    1979 46 cnv. There is a diaphragm pump( belt driven motor mounted on top of pump body, approx. 4 x 6 inches) under the lower bunk in the v-berth.One hose is connected to holding tank and the other hose is hanging adrift in the anchor locker. Cant figure this one out.

    871-TI raw water pumps 1979 46 cnv.

    Pumps are mounted to bell housing and sit above allison gears. Look to be six bolts securing pump to bell housing. Is it as easy as removing six bolts? I am thinking there is a flywheel driven gear on the end of pump shaft.
