“Crap Cans” for air box drains on DD 6-71s
The air box drains on my 6-71 T.I.s run into “crap cans” which are about the size of auto engine oil filters. The problem is that oil droplets blow out with the expelled air even when there is little or no oil in the cans.
What arrangements do you...

Has anyone installed a new refrigerator in a 43’ DC recently? If so, what brand and model fits through the hatch and into the galley space for the fridge? Mine has died and I need a new one.

J & T (DD) 6-71 TIs – Life expectancy
I see a number of references to DD 6-71s being overhauled at 2,000 – 2,500 hours. Is this the normal service life or the exception resulting from abuse or heavy running?
My 450 hp engines are run at 1,800 PRM and have about 1,900 hours.
