J & T (DD) 6-71 TIs – Life expectancy I see a number of references to DD 6-71s being overhauled at 2,000 – 2,500 hours. Is this the normal service life or the exception resulting from abuse or heavy running? My 450 hp engines are run at 1,800 PRM and have about 1,900 hours.
