Took her out for a spin before the short haul 2 weeks ago. She wouldn't plane off. I'm thinking it's one of two problems...dirty bottom or too much weight?
I attributed that to the dirty bottom, but haven't tested that theory. There was no hard growth on the hull, just some slime...the props...
Engines are 8v71TIs. Took her out 2 weekends ago for the first time this season and had temp creep on the port engine. At WOT she SLOWLY (about 10 min) creeped up to the point the temp alarm went off. :( I back down immediately and temp fell back down quickly. This was before the short haul...

So, the zipeprs obn the aft enclosure are falling apart...time for replacement. Any suggestions for zippers that will last? Metal? Plastic? And how much SHOULD it cost to have done by a canvas shop? Oh, my panels are EZ2CY...should I have them do it or any canvas shop?
Starboard engine will not back down all the way to idle using the throttle lever. I can easily back it down by hand on the engine itself. How do I adjust the throttle cable? I've never had to do this before.
OK, I love to grill! I love to do SLOW grilling of things like pork shoulders/butts...I mean SLOW...as in cook a pork butt for 6-8 hours at 200 degrees ...so need to be able to finely control temperature. No problem on a good home grill like a Weber...but I cannot find a boat grill that's good...
The 12v battery charger, an old Century, was accidentally turned off for who knows how long...long enough that the 12v electronics on the dash no longer worked. I flip the circuit break on and it's humming, pretty loudly...like I can sear it from the salon and its in the engine room. Not...
Time for me to break down and get some new electronic charts and a program to do PC based charting. I'm still a paper chart guy. Yes, I use GPS &/or LORAN get get my positions, but I use nothing but paper right now. I've heard very good tings about the Managing the Waterway dvds...
I need tunes on the bridge. Has anyone run speaker wire from the stereo box at the aft of the salon up to the bridge? If so...how? Or is it nearly impossible and I'm a fool for even considering it? Would I be better off simply putting a "car stereo" under the helm? If so, there are 12v...
Well, as you may remember from a previous thread...the old original dishwasher bit the dust. I was not about to spend any money repairing a 30 year old dishwasher...so out with the old and in with the new. Amanda and I got the old one out, and got the new one on the boat and down to the galley...
Anyone else have a hard time getting new keys cut for their 53? None of the normal places seem to have the right blank...checked home despot, lowes, ACE..none seem to have them? Something I need to get from Sams or???

Sure glad I didn't pull the trigger and buy back in December like I had planned...having the price reduced to $0.01 per share then getting a reverse 100:1 split? Wow, not good for anyone with GM common stock...
Very interesting Opinion piece...that really makes perfect sense...if one is willing to read it with an open mind. It begs the question...what will the republican party of the future looks like? I would say it will look nothing like it does now...and question whether it will even exist as a...
Anyone know if there are any higher performance elements I should consider? Anything like the equivalent of a halogen flat top that would plug right in? I do NOT want to replace the cook top, it would be a MAJOR undertaking on the boat...so I'm looking for a simple replacement element...but one...
Basic question...What would you change about your boat's design if you could? If you had been part of the design team...what would be changed? I figure this could be a nice low stress discussion...and maybe it will help improve future designs...especially if Hatteras Corporate is listening (no...

I'm not going to comment or say anything about my views or thoughts on this...it is just being posted as a FYI for my fellow HOFers....here ya go:
The move would give the Democrats 59 votes in the senate, just one short of the 60 needed to...
