    Cloudy fuel

I just last week installed a pair of Racor 1000's. The bowls are much easier to see into than my old smaller Racor spin ons. What I noticed yesterday is the fuel in the port side bowl significantly cloudier than the starboard side. ( I have port & starboard tanks) . Whatever it is seems to be...

    De-Commissioning seacock

I recently installed a Vacu-flush toilet system in my boat. It was fairly easy to install and it work very well. The last item on my list to finish this job off is to de commission the seacock that suppiled the old salt water fed toilet. My question is how do I do this properly? Thanks

    Fresh Water Pump

I installed a Vacu-flush toilet system today to replace the original electric head. It was a fair amount of work but it went in more or less as I planned. But I now have a problem with my fresh water system. During the installation I put a T in a fresh water pipe to feed the new toilet (old...

Racor Fuel Filter Primer Pump Kit

I just read about a new fuel primer pump for Racor 1000's & 900's in the Febuary issue of Passage Maker. It installs between the bowl and filter body, and can be retro-fitted. Sounds interesting. Has a pre-screen filter. http://www.parker.com/racor/Prodbul/fuel/7585-RacorFilterPumpBrochure.pdf

    Fuel Filter Replacement

I am getting ready to change the fuel filters on my J & T 671N's. There are 2 side by side on each engine and they are the spin on type. fuel consumption

I am still really happy with my new purchase, a 1980 37c with 671 n's. I have noticed the starboard fuel tank sure empties faster than the port side. In about 3 hours of cruising @2050 rpm about 1/8 extra was gone from the strb side tank (2 tanks 165 gallons each). Is this normal? Thanks

    Paint touch-ups

I just bought a 1980 37c with 671-n's and over all I am very happy with it so far. There are however a few small spots on the top side where the paint has been chipped or rubbed off, and I sure the paint is original. Is there any way to touch up these spots without making a bigger mess? Any info...
