    Alexseal Paint Color

Is Alexseal Oyster White T9128 the same color as Awlgrip Oyster White? Is that the correct color for my 1973 43DC? The whole top side of my boat has been hand painted poorly by the previous owner with bright white Interlux paint. At least those are the partial cans I found on the boat. I...

    Wanted 43DC Windshield Hardware

Unfortunately, the hardware is completely missing. I've found a few things that look like possibilities like this Osculati hatch adjuster. I'll take some measurements this weekend.

    Wanted 43DC Windshield Hardware

Does anyone have or know where I could get the hardware to hold open and shut the middle windshield for a 1973 43DC, or an alternate solution? Sam's does not have the part. The rod is 32-1/2" long. Has anyone worked out an electric solution and if so, was it worth it?

    6-71n Mixing Elbows

It's a water jacket around the pipe with the water exit into the exhaust hose resembling a shower head. I guess that's what it refers to.

Number of Pilings and Spacing for 43DC

Next question. The dock lines on the boat are worn. If I have four pilings on each side 18' or 20' apart, what is a good complement of line sizes to have? Does the color of the line make any practical difference to anyone? Maybe I should color code them by length?

    6-71n Mixing Elbows

Since the elbows will be higher, that shouldn't be an issue. I sure hope it fits!

    6-71n Mixing Elbows

I received a pair of stainless steel exhaust elbows from Johnson & Towers for my 6-71's to replace what appear to be original cast iron elbows. There are no indications that I have a problem with the existing elbows, but if these really are supposed to have a 5-10 year service life, then it's...

    New Owner

There are 5 different brands of gauges not including the fuel gauges. The second photo is after scraping. It's slow going and I still need to put a coat of stripper on to finish it up.

    New Owner

We settled today on a 1973 43DC with 6-71n's. Hull survey by Brad Burns. Engine surveys by Eric Rydzewski. Broker John Schwab. All good people. The boat is in Little River, SC until spring when we will transport it up to our dock on Mattox Creek just south of Colonial Beach, VA. That will...

I didn't see the unicycle in the yard sale??

Number of Pilings and Spacing for 43DC

I am having pilings set at my dock to accommodate a 1973 43DC with a 14' beam. I figured 20' width between the dock and the outer row of pilings. Does that sound right? Should there be 3 or 4 pilings in the outer row?

    170 HP Hatteras 38 Convertible

This boat would seem to be a very economical way to cover long distances slowly and I would think the engines would last just about forever. 7 kts at 1650 rpm with newer John Deere 85 HP naturals getting a little over 3 mpg. What would it be like living with this hull without the option to go...

    Morning funny

You post enough of these and you've got me chuckling one out of three, so that's twice a day! Thanks.
