Hi All,
Before starting this thread I did a search for “Security Alarm” and there were 19 posts all were of a varied nature and not exactly addressing my point /application, most ended up being about weapons. Moderators if this post is not appropriate please delete, because I am offering a...
Although the Ad is inactive, you can still view the photos and read the description of the "condition", so sad to see/read.

Kind of a current world view of yacht builders - thought it was interesting, and others might want to watch it too.

If you ever wondered what's involved in replacing the engines.....this video documents it very well. Found this on my never ending Internet search for new (at least to me) information about Hatteras yachts.
I thought you all would like to see this too:

Ok, so I did a search in the forum for Nitrogen, looking to see if anyone has asked the following question and I did find one post about a year or so ago that did…..but no one answered it and it just moved down the list until it was lost / forgotten.
Well, I am going to ask the question again...
A search engine and just a play on words for those who are not familiar with this website:
http://boats.oodle.com/hatteras/for-sale/yachts/?s=price&inbs=1
Seems to be quite a few reasonably priced too (for those looking for a deal or a project).
What does this have to do with boats? Well maybe nothing, BUT recently in searching the forums looking for info about a stackable washer and dryer I noted that the Bosch series was recommended the most. So I thought if people are recommending Bosch for a washer/dryer some folks might also buy a...
She is not a Hatteras but that "Classic Old Design" brings a smile to my face
I don't know what it is about an older classic design that draws me in, maybe it's because my perception of "a yacht" was conceived during my formative years of having examples like this boat.
Whoever restored Her did...
In my almost daily online search for constant justification for spending what I did on my boat, and reaffirming that I didn't pay too much, I came across these Hatt's listed on Yachtauctions.com.
Ok, I'm a bit obsessive about finding out what's available and it's condition. Again comparing it...
I'm going to practice doing this myself.

http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1970/Hatteras-53-2625324/Almerimar/Spain#.UhPgqJbD-1s

Not nearly enough photo's or description to determine anything, but it...
Was looking around for davits to buy/install on my boat and saw this:
www.Dinghysling.com
Looks like a simple, cost effective, non rusting, quick deployment idea.
Has anyone ever used or seen these before, and if so what would be the down side of using something like this?
The PO did not use the 3 toilets all that much for the 14 years they owned the boat. It stayed at dockside most of the time, and they mostly used the Marina's facilities. They said they periodically "cleaned out" the bowl to prevent salt deposit build up due to evaporation using white vinegar...
Ok, I did a search before posting this question and although it has been answered before in other posts, the answers were not exactly addressing these questions.
The PO used a portable dehumidifier (which they did not leave behind). The boat is located in the Southern US, and until the Admiral...

Just thought it was a cool looking boat.

the Seller states it needs one engine worked on /replaced
I know that you don't leave the fresh water hose connected (or in the on position) if your going to be away from the boat......but what I don't know and am asking is if you should kill the power to the toilets via the breaker panel for the same reason

Hi All,
I was searching the Internet trying to find out about different diesel fuel types and came across this Wikipedia article. I thought it was a good read and worth posting.
I found it very informative and well written.
