Inquiring minds want to know....best for overall longevity is key, top speed not so much. Best fuel economy at 7 knots, and general replace/rebuild costs per engine. Also what is ride like in a beamy sea with stabs at 7 knots? I know they like to run faster than that.

Ok, plan to sit offshore in the deep blue for days at a time. Some concerns about the 60 EB being a bit top heavy and rolly at rest in the Briney deep. Advantages of an enclosed bridge are obvious in that situation. But, the old school 53 sportfish has many say it is really the best offshore...

So old and never maintained, filled with numerous cracks along the grains. I assume this is too far gone to be saved, or, can the cracks be filled with some material before a MAJOR varnish job starts?

Can anyone post a v-16 fuel use/RPM/speed chart for a 58 sportsfish? Or, just the motor would be fine. Thanks.
