A friend who has a 53 is looking to replace one of his Galley Maid heads with one of these because the wife finally put her foot down about the noise of the galley maid. Does anyone know if these are truly quiet and had any experiences with them?
Needs, Wants & Desires has been owned by me sine February, 2002. She has been maintained by one of the most knowledgeable boat mechanics in South Florida. Too many extras added over the years to post here. If you are seriously interested in a 58', you should see this boat.

I am not at my boat for a couple of more weeks. Someone is telling me that my anchor which hangs off of the bow pulpit is rusting thru. Could this be true? It is galvanized and it has been on the bow the 11 years I have owned the boat in Ft Lauderdale.
I have a Robinson Autopilot, I think it is a AP 25 X but I need to check to be sure when I go back to the boat. My unit on the flybridge can't be read.
I have Wilcox Seabrace Stabilizers and the gyro conked out. If you have a spare gyro I would be interested in seeing if it would work on my...
I will be posting a LONG positive post about Cracker Boy Boatyards in Riveria Beach by West Palm that I am extremely happy with.
I had one negative experience and I would like to give other forum members a heads up to proceed at your own risk.
I got an estimate from Alan Rosensweig to do some...
I think I have found another Hatteras I want to buy.
There is nothing wrong with this boat. When we bought her in 1978, she was the best 58 or 53MY that we had seen. Most boats we saw were worned out or trashed. We have IMPROVED the boat ever since we bought with paint, fixing issues, adding...
We keep the boat in Ft Lauderdale and I am overdue for blister work. My plan is to haul the boat after Memorial Day and leave it on blocks until late September or early October. I want to see how bad the blisters are, open the blisters and let them dry out over the summer. I also will...
At the Miami Boat Show in February I saw these A/C Reverse Cycle Heat units. They were unbelievably quiet. I'm used to getting blasted with noise by my units so these were unbelievable to be. Was like being on one of the bigger Hatts.
I'm not mechanical by nature. Anybody have any experience...

I'm dreaming of going over to the Abacos in June from Ft Lauderdale. I don't have any of those fancy software programs some of you have. Roughly how far is it to Charleston or Beaufort, SC or NC from West End or Walker's Cay? I have a 58' yachtfish with 8v71TI's with a 1000 gallons of fuel. If I...

I am planning on biting the bullet and getting a peel job on my 1978 58' Yachtfish this spring. What I'm hearing is that after the job is done, enclose the bottom to the ground sealed tight and put a bunch of dehumidifiers in the enclosure to dry it out. I expect it to take a while to get it...
The optional days started off with a bang today. Miles Away, Bonnie Bet, Size Matters & Serenity all 53 Classics are here. SEA 21, a 1974 46' Convertible is hear also. Earlier today a beautiful redone 42' Convertible stopped by for a while.
Tonight, almost everyone boarded SEA 21 because it...
