    Walking sideways.....

    Though well in lust with them, I haven't actually driven a 53..... Some boats will walk sideways, say to port.... Rudder to SB, 80-100%, SB screw FWD to kick the stern out, Port screw in reverse 150 rpm above the SB engine to counteract the pivot and the result is a nice lateral slide...

    There is a 53 (I think) under roof in Skipjack Cove on the Sassafras in MD. Is the owner by any chance on this forum?     OK, so a late 70's early 80's 53 is 32 volt? Four 8V batteries in series to power the starters? Guess you don't get an 8v battery at Wallmart...... Is the house 32V as well? I know modern nav gear is not..... how is this generally handled? Has anyone waxed poetically on this subject? I need...

    Engine removal

    It was pointed out to me that there are a few threads with copious pictures documenting the removal of the "lumps" (engines) out of a MY..... (can't remember size) ie up into the salon and out the back door..... Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
