It seems that there are quite a few web sites available now where you can store (ie. back-up) files, documents, etc. Hmmm, how convenient. But it sure raises the question of reliability. Has anyone herd anything good or bad about these sites?
I suppose that our beloved Photobucket is ok for...
"Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter."
(Sorry, no hint. A few of you really don't want to know who said that!)
One week ago today PrezBO said:
“Those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account - to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day - because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.”
By not withdrawing...
For perhaps a year now we have been toying around with the idea of buying one a big screen TV (so we can better watch some 300 odd channels of crap, if you now what I mean). And of course, I have been visiting the television sections each time I walk into Wal-Mart (where I buy all my latest...
Complete with hang over and all to!
This morning I had my 4th colonoscopy. No, I’m not in love, but it wasn’t bad at all. The worst part was having to drink 4 liters of “Caterpillar engine coolant” in about two hours. Well, yea. After coming dangerous close to running out of toilet paper last...
It's a lot of fun, let me tell you.
Last weekend I connected and turned on my Garmin 2010 Chartplotter (3 years old). A quick message said something like "...need to update, etc., etc." Then it would not acquire satelites. Really makes navigation a fun challenge if you know what I mean.
Sooo...
Just a couple more pics from this boating season...

It always pays to have a camera ready on board or in your vehicle. You never know when opportunity knocks.
1. I can't explain this. Blow boaters make fun of us because we must always crank an engine to operate our boats...

A canvas shop owner told me that it contains no bleach and works great but I would very much like to hear from the Forum first.
Frankly, there have been past discussions on mildew and a search failed to turn up any comments on IOSSO. For that matter it wouldn't hurt to learn of any other new...
Recently while carusing YachtWorld I noticed a 40 DCMY same as mine but with a much brighter interior (browsing YachtWorld can get you in trouble). I emailed the broker and he said this: "wipe down the walls with isopropyl alcohol, at least 90 proof, and then wax the walls with liquid turtle...
These items have been in my parts bin on the boat for about five years now. I generally hold on to things for fear that they may be replacement parts for something important that may need repairing. However I cannot think of a thing for which they apply to. (The smaller 3 nuts are identical...
I'm almost embarrassed to ask this but I have three of these small DC exhaust fans on the boat with what appears to be a 4" diameter cover screen. Problem is the screens are slowly clogging up and seem to be installed rather tight. I'm afraid that if I try too hard to remove them I might risk...
A couple of weeks ago I read where France derives 60-70% of it's electrical energy from nuclear power plants. So I did a little research with Dept. of Energy figures and was surprised at the findings (the latest data is from 2006):
About 19.4% of our electricity is generated by nuclear power...
Hatteras owner missing for over a week!
If you have been following Fox News or other media this past week you already know that a prominent couple in Hilton Head Island, John and Elizabeth Calvert, have been missing for over a week.
Just this evening I learned that Elizabeth was the registered...
I just wanted to share something I accomplished with a new plumbing product called "SharkBite" by Cash Acme in Alabama (http://www.cashacme.com/).
Just this week I finished installing a hot water circulator at home. During a recent trip to Home Depot to buy the fittings to do the project a...
Reconditioning Norcold frig
Anybody used these people:
http://www.rvfridge.com/index.htm
They claim to do a lot of frig reconditioning for the RV crowd. I couldn't find any info if they deal with marine refrigerators. I sent them a email though and am waiting for a reply.
My Norcold is...
It’s my turn, curses!
Over the past couple of months the aft head started cycling right after flushing (older Sealand vacuum type). Meaning after it built up pressure and stopped it would cycle on again for say 15 pumps or so.
To make a long story short the system abruptly quit building up...
