    HI,
Sorry, just saw you reply. I will post it and sort through the answers! lol I have to buy a new wildcat from Galley Maid to increase the chain from 1/4 up to 3/8". They never maid a wildcat to accept chain to rode. Im trying to find out if an ideal wildcat might fight somehow.... Just make life easier on my wife and I and not have to buy a new windless!
Sorry it took so long to answer your message I just saw it tonight. I have 400’ of 3/8 chain and never come close to using it. We are in the Delta where the water is only about 30 feet deep. What you are planning sounds good but I’m the wrong guy to ask being we never Anchor in the ocean. I’d post the question and expect 10 different answers. Good luck.
I have a quick question for you. I am about to get some 3/8 anchor chain (changing wildcat from 1/4-3/8). We will be in the bahamas a lot and for chain I was thinking of getting 150' (approx. 600lbs). What are your thoughts? I am also going to have some rode maybe 300 feet with 10' chain. thinking 3/4 or 7/8. What do you think and recommend?? Thank you!
