I am looking to purchase a 53MY and trying to find out what the draft is. One 53 I am looking at has a plaque on the boat that states 4'11" draft. I have seen listings show 4.5 feet, as well as 4 feet. Anyone have any input?

Trying to educate myself a bit on Detroit Diesels, since I know nothing about them. I have seen discussion about not wanting water jacketed risers on these engines (8v71TI). Can anyone post a picture of insulated risers? Is this a water jacketed riser?

Looking at a Hatteras near me with twin 8V71TI. Hour meters between the port and starboard engine are off by nearly 500 hours. Broker states they just had problems with the lower hour meter. Is there any way to get hours other than the existing meters? Is this concerning?
