I have a friend with a pair of 6CTAs. Today he noticed a small amount of oil dripped out of the Airsep on one engine. I'm guessing it's a seal on the turbo but not too familiar with those engines. Any suggestions of what to look for? Probably be crawling in the ER to help him on Sat.
I like to do hourly ER checks when running. Today we headed out and all was well after my pre- flight check. I start my engines and generators from the ER so I can check things over before I head out. After an hour or so I checked the ER and all was well. An hour or so later, we decided to shut...
Ok so not a boat question but thought I might get some insight here. The fill next for the fuel tank on one of my snowmobiles is cracked at the base. Any thoughts as to what I can use to fix it until I get a chance
To replace the tank? Changing the tank is a big PITA and the sleds are about 4...
Looks like this is the next one to watch. If it develops and tracks NW, could be another mess for East coast.http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo.php?basin=atlc&fdays=5
A friend is seriously considering a 1988 Chris Craft 42SF. Boat is exceptionally clean and cared for. I know they have a great reputation and ride is supposed to be very nice. Anyone have any first hand experience with one?
The drain stopper on my tub is not staying opened. Anyone fix one of these? Can I repair it from the tub side or do I have to get access from behind? I also need to service the faucet. It's a single lever rotary style mixer. Starting to drip on occasion. I'm assuming this will be easy to...
This boat was on my list 6 years ago and although I never went aboard, she did look good from the dock. At the time they were claiming 400 hours SMOH. Never pursued her as I had a nicer 58 in my sights and found my 65 at the same time. She's been on and off the market for a long time...
This boat has popped up here before. It was for sale when I bought my 65 back in 2010. Real nice refit just don't know why they didn't repower her. They must have spent a fortune pulling the engines, rebuilding, upgrading and then reinstalling.
Looking for opinions on what might be best as my new boat. I know the owner of Singularis, the new 90 Bayliss is moving up from his Hatteras 60C. Think I might want to make a similar move but 90' is a bit big. Trying to get things ready for when I win the 1.5 billion lottery tonight.
Redline Marine is back in business. I know Charlie's approach is a bit rough around the edges but he is a straight shooter. Just don't give him the impression that you are anything but serious and capable of making a quick purchase.

Viking is buying Ocean's facilities and property but not the brand. New Vikings will be built at the Ocean Facility. Viking is at capacity at the New Gretna Facility and plans to build some of the "smaller" Vikings at the Ocean plant...
One side of my TNT tender lift dropped down this week. Port side fell about 8" lower than the starboard. I was able to get it back up but it is leaking fluid most likely from the cylinder. Any thoughts about replacing this in the water or do I have to haul the boat? Getting the boat hauled now...
Saw a nice 52C and a 60C II around Atlantic Highlands on Sunday. Anyone here own them or know the boats? Didn't get the names but the 52C was a tower boat. Nice to see we were all running at a decent speed.
