    Installing a pumpout

I'm installing a pump out for my holding tank. Current config is poo into the top of the tank, poo out the bottom to a sealand pump with duck bills. The easiest way for me to install the new hose would be to put a tee at the discharge hose (before the pump) and run my new hose from there...

    duck bills

I had my holding tank pump left on for days. The pump bellied up. I have new guts for the pump but I cant tell which way the duck bills should be put it. The old ones were mangled and seemed to me to be in wrong. Shouldn't flow be from wide part of duck bill to thin part on inlet and outlet...

    Hurricane Hanna and my Hatteras

Hi, This is Kate from my husband Rick's account. We are in the Charleston Harbor Marina and are buttoning up and tying down for the pending arrival of Hurricane Hanna. We are keeping her in the Marina since all the local boat yards are full and moving her down the river is a poor option...

It takes about an hour to boil water on our stove. Here is what I think may be the problem, your comments are welcomed. I think the 110 volt burners were replaced with a like size but designed for 220v..... Does that sound like a good bet? Any idea where 110 volt burners are available...

    Removing the Galley Sink

Sorry if this is a repeat question, couldn't find anything using the search button. Has anyone successfully removed their galley sink? I TRIED to remove the sink in the head once to replace the faucet and it was a nightmare. How do you get that metal ring off? Thanks for any advice.

    Fiamm Air Horns Needed

Anyone have an old set of the Fiamm air horns? I sent mine out to be rechromed and they came back missing the spring that goes behind the diaphram. I would normally complain to the chrome shop but they did it for free as a favor to my sister....... You get what you pay for I guess...

A Silver Lining may be Shinning

Got my notice from IBM today, I have till May 31, then a small package and a re-training allowance of $2500. I was talking to a buddy at work that is welcoming his package and I told him I guess I'll get some tech certification to get another techy job. Kevin said, 'HELL, take that $2500 and...

    Dreams

Ok, well I did a walk around on my runabout yesterday and when checking the I/O lower unit it made me recall a dream I had the night before. I dreamed that I woke up on our Hatt rocking on top a sandbar, I ran up to the helm to raise the lower drive units but couldn't find the switch...

    Kitchen counter tile

Hi everyone. In the planning phases of doing upgrades to our Hatt. The counter tops in the galley are pretty worn and dated. I was considering formica, but also came across a 1/2 inch by 1/2 glass tile. They come on 12 x 12 mesh sheets and are said to be suitable for counter tops, flooring...

Ok, I have been studying these ENC files from NOAA. They are really cool charts, but, I want to head south on the ICW from Charleston and I don't see any routing for the ICW on these charts. Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place? Thanks, Rick PS I would ask Freebird's help...
