I'm installing a pump out for my holding tank. Current config is poo into the top of the tank, poo out the bottom to a sealand pump with duck bills. The easiest way for me to install the new hose would be to put a tee at the discharge hose (before the pump) and run my new hose from there...

I had my holding tank pump left on for days. The pump bellied up. I have new guts for the pump but I cant tell which way the duck bills should be put it. The old ones were mangled and seemed to me to be in wrong. Shouldn't flow be from wide part of duck bill to thin part on inlet and outlet...
