I'm always affraid to run my engines past 1800 rpm and at that rpm I get 12 to 14 knots out of my 46. Does anyone run them faster or can they be run faster?

I Have v8 71s and trying to replace my fresh water impellers. First I tried with 2 screwdrivers, that didn't work, so now I bought the recomended impeller puller that digs into the impeller. It slips also used some wd40 what's next? Any advise?
