On the 37C I have the two bolt rudder shaft stuffing boxes that look the one here, though a little cleaner. I have not had it apart in 20 years. Nuts come off the bolts but I can not separate the pieces. Not a lot of room. I hit it with penetrant. How hard can I wack it? How much pressure can I...

These old Hatts are a learning experience. Good thing Sam's is here. FWIW I have learned that this Bearing,1 3/4 X2 3/8 x 7": Fits in this Strut Recessed Port 1 3/4 ID Bearing CMC-3: All 7" of it. Given that I wonder how critical it is that I replace it immediately! H

Working on the running gear yesterday and noticed that a rubber sleeve from what I assume is a cutlass bearing, behind the stuffing box at the thru hull has worked back exposing 1.5" of the rubber. Does anyone have experience replacing this part? I assume it is a cutlass bearing. Is it the same...

I have the hydraulic pump plumbed in line. Never worked. Think it was a Cetrex Pilot 701. Have the head missing everything else. Nothing fancy. Hopefully cheap (two starting college next fall). Like to be able to set a course and relax on a long run. Hal
