Spent almost 2 days trying to thaw out my freshwater system from what I assumed was a frozen line right behind the wall in the cockpit. My hose had been connected but the water was turned off. Turns out the the pipes are clogged with algae scum from inside the water hose. I have 3 water filters...
My insurance company tells me they won't insure a boat south of the FL/GA line from June 1 to Nov.1 ! What do most people with boats in FL do about insurance? I sure every boat in FL doesn't move up the coast every summer.
I searched but couldn't find anything so I'll ask. An 85' motor yacht that is more or less abandoned rubbed through its 100Amp cord against the dock and chine and almost melted through the aluminum hull! Now everyone has zinc issues! Is there a way to test for stray current?
I have a 20KW Onan Gen. circa about 1984. It runs like a top but can't get any power out. I've tried to locate and check any breakers and fuses but no luck. It doesn't get used much and the last time I got power out of it was about a year ago. Anyone have any ideas I can try?
One of my 8V92's is loosing coolant. No apparent leaks. No water in the oil (thank god!). Leaking into raw water in heat exchanger and out the exhaust? Has anyone had this issue or any ideas?
I need to cut into a section of my bow rail so I can swing my dingy (14' Scout center console) onto the front deck. I haven't had any success finding the fittings I would need to make a section open up. Anyone have a source for the hardware?
I have a 1984 52c. Has anyone sourced replacement 60 amp fuse holders or just the cap assembly needed at the shore power input plug? Sam's price for just for the cap is $206 !!!!!!

I have a 1984 52C. Both showers on board are drained by the same sump pump. Problem is if the drain in the guest shower is not sealed somehow the sump just sucks air and won't drain the master shower! Does anyone else have this issue and if so how are you addressing it?
I am about a foot short of being able to clear my bow rail when trying to swing my 15' Scout onto the front deck. I seem to remember seeing a modification where you can remove a section easily. Has anyone done this or seen it done? If so any pointers or ideas would be great!
