    boat refurb financing?

Has anyone ever heard of banks financing a complete refurb on an older Hatt? I'm desperately pulling at straws to keep my baby (both of them.)

anyone want to finish my project?

Looking to get rid of my project before my wife gets rid of me. If anyone is interested I have a 63 34DC that is almost completely repainted, has a glassed in flybridge, brand new windows all around, new stainless running gear, new freshwater tank, and still needs a lot of work. Any takers?

    anyone know this 41'?

It's been a horribly depressing day working on mine so I was looking at this one, http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1963/Hatteras-Double-Cabin-2223439/Delray-Beach/FL/United-States. Anyone know her?

Fort Myers to New Smyrna via Lake O

Hoping to take our inaugural trip to visit (read show off to) the family at Christmas time. They are all flying in from Colorado and staying in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Since i'm in the Fort Myers area I'm wondering how long the trip through Lake O takes. As much as I'd love for everyone to see...

    exhaust?

The new engines require a 5" diameter exhaust. The holes in the transom are only 4". Do I need to change them out? The engine warranty is not valid if there is too much backpressure in the exhaust system so I want to make sure I do it right. If I run 5" hose and then step it down to 4" outlets...

    Steyr engines!

I found a great deal on a pair of Steyr 256 diesel engines. I'm wondering what you all know about these engines. They are brand new in the crates and will fit perfectly in my 34DC so I'm hoping they have a good reputation.

    Seamaster Marine?????

Is anyone familiar with this guy? His website states he is an "unauthorized" cummins dealer. I spoke with him on the phone and he seems like a nice guy but I'm a bit nervous of the "too good to be true."

    stringer question

I am repowering my 34 DC. The shop stated that if I went to deisel engines it would more than likely require some retrofit of the stringers. The original Chrysler 440's have been removed and the stringers have large grooves in then and on the starboard side have a groove that is cut all the way...

    Officers Down

To start with, my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the four Lakewood officers killed in the line of duty. The sad state of American affairs is quite depressing. How is it that a man who is sentenced, to what should have been the rest of his natural life, is released to...

If at first you don't succeed

Ok so upon recommendation of the local boat expert (yeah right) I had splash rails made out of oak and installed (obviously without a level.) I followed all of his instructions about how long to wait before painting them etc. The bottom half of the boat was painted a while ago and now I'm not...

    6.5 diesels ???????

The next step in my rebuild process is the engines. After a lot of headache I have decided not to rebuild the old 440's. The average quote was around $7000 a side for a rebuild. I would love to go with diesels but don't have the money for new ones. I have found several of the 6.5 Turbo...

    integrated head components?

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a cabinet and sink etc. that is all integrated? My wife noticed it a lot on the newer junk boats at a recent boat show. They look like they are one piece of acrylic. Any ideas to help keep the admiral happy?
