Any recent advice on how to retrofit Cruisair Split units

"Just had one of my original Cruisair Compressor units give up the ghost" Compressor fault? Really?? Starter, caps and bad wires also fail. I've kept our 47 year old boat running on R22. Always some way to fix it them in our swamp.

Western Branch can answer your injector question. They will need the serial numbers. The last owners of Covington. https://www.westernbranchdiesel.com/marine/

    Please help identify sensor

Original Nason, Hobbs and others offered NO and NC switches (normally open, normally closed) with two connections. For near the same cost, they made a combo switch that does the NO & NC in one unit with three connects on top. It is the pressure spec that may be critical here. This data will be...

    Fuel hose replacement

Interesting. Yep, I'm into the catalogues now. Hose or JIC seems to be the common fittings. I'm assuming your installing the later 500 filter sets. There is an Racor option fitting to screw into the new Racor and transition to female NPT. From there you can keep all SAE. This may make your...

There may be two pressure bars like this on your engine. One for oil pressure an the other for fuel pressure. I'm guessing you are leaking from your Nason Oil pressure alarm switches. Your ships prints will offer the pressure spec.

Raw water intake hose - debacle of the day

Re; Post #17 Got some pics to share from our boat. You can see the sharp bend of hose replaces by the new fiberglass tubing and new 90° turn. Either end of the glass tubing can be adjusted for different hose sizes.

    Fuel hose replacement

I learned my lessons the hard way with high pressure RO (water maker) systems years ago. Always made sure all was good past that. Not including some Bo-Boos on my own boat to remind me to check what I thought, I knew.... For fuel, most is standard SAE and if you keep it simple (KISS) you...

    Fuel hose replacement

SAE and JIC will tighten down and may not leak. With the different contact areas because of the different angles, it is not recommended. Imagine the contact area of mix/match fittings like an ole 10-speed race bike tire on the road, vs a 60 wide tire on the road (skinny or fat dam holding the...
