Before and now pics. The plywood is our template. New oven/microwave and cooktop have been placed on a new 120v outlet that is wired to the original breaker for the Princess Combo. It's getting an upgraded breaker. As many of you said, there's more than enough wire there to carry more load...
We are looking to start a galley refurb this month. I have looked back through all the old related threads. Most were in reference to a larger MY and most had 240v in the galley. Thiis is for our 46c that only has 120v power.
So, we want to pull out the old Princess 120v range/stovetop...
Anybody had any luck buying a rug that was close to the right size and then trimming it to fit into your space?
Did you take it and have it bound? Hot glue? Hot knife?
I'm trying to do a wide runner in the salon and nobody makes anything that's really close.
I think I could cut one end and...
Looking at new listings this morning I came across a 1995 39c in Savannah. I don't know if I have ever seen one in person. It has the 485hp 6-71s. It must be pretty quick. I'm guessing it wasn't a high production boat. Does anybody know anything about the 39s?
Has anybody bought an icemaker lately that they really liked? Ours in the wet bar on our 46c is finally dying. A 22lb a day isotherm ss unit is about 1500. I don't care to spend the money on something that will work well and for a while. I'm just trying to avoid some of the new stuff that...
Has anybody used Lonmarine flooring. We're about to re do the master head on our 46c and we need to pull up the flooring to address a soft spot about the size of a quarter. Lonmarine's Teak and Holley looks pretty close to the wood floor in our galley. There is some curvature in the floor so...
One of my copper fuel line recently cracked where someone had put a bad bend inside a sweeping 90. It's a short piece between a fuel shutoff and the fuel filter about 25". Question is, where does one find 5/8" od soft copper line?
I second the solid material with a little texture. The Lumitec lights we put in are dimmable with a regular household on/off switch. They're wired to the original DC light switch.
On a positive note: With all the talk about heating a Hatteras we spent 1 night on board at 5 degrees. With both split units running and the engine room warmed by both blockheaters it was very comfortable. You have to be careful to leave some cabinets open and not let doors get closed but all...
I didn't want to confuse the other AC access thread. So here goes with the next one. Master stateroom on a 46c. The air handler blower motor is on its last leg. POS is only 45 years old.
The panel in front of the air handler that has the controls and vent in it appears to tuck in behind...
I didn't want to hijack the Bahamas Prep thread. But expanding on it has anyone here installed a watermaker on a 46c? And does anyone have a guestimate on how much water it takes to freshwater rinse a 45'-50' boat?
While we had the Stamoid off the top of the boat I replaced the electronics. I removed a working Raytheon R41x.
It's free to a good home if anyone needs it. I will ship for whatever it costs me.
Let me know before it hits the dumpster.
Has anyone on here replaced the AC units on a 46c? Both of my split units are acting up and I'm tired of kicking the can down the road.
I'm thinking I may have to stay with a split unit down and go to a stand alone in the salon.
Do I have to replace the coolant lines if I install a new...
