What Would You Choose / AGM or Lithium for House Bank?

I'm sure the facts should be considered. 1) Systems can be and have been designed to run AC (Air conditioning) on theese and other boats effectively. I've done this a hundred times. Literally. 2) LiFePo4 batteries are not subject to thermal runaway and fire. 3) Usable energy density is 5 to 6...

48 Yachtfish main helm station wiring access - Hynautic hose leak

I hope you used a hydraulic sealant like locktite 567 not standard white teflon paste or tape. It's a hydraulic system so you need to use the good stuff. And by the way that stuff is a bit pricy.

Let's play "What the heck is that?!" and how do I fix it?

How often do you change it?

Item 1 looks like a tach sensor. It's pulling RPM from a gear and driving an electric sender.

    Engine Alignment Question

Check the location of the shaft in the stern tube first. If in line then the rest of the measurements will work out. The coupler weight will put a slight drop in the shaft when it's not supported. Also the side to side will require movement laterally if the mounts allow it.

    Paint Color 76 LRC

Choose the color you like. If your repainting the boat why be stuck on what was when you can step it up. I would pick a standard color as it will be easier to match it later. Have you considered that paint that changes color with viewing angle?

    Bonding/Ground Connection on flybridge?

This is all the very basics of installation. The "drain" or chasis ground is not a new concept. Both the bonding and DC ground are common. Major differences are required wire sizes and method of attachment. If its not something you understand you should be messing with it. People wonder why...

    Big shoutout to Lenco Coolers!

Lenny ( Lenco founder) has passed it on to his son and now grandson (Jesse) they sold the trim tabs years ago and the tabs are now owned by Yamaha. The coolers are still built by hand on long Island. I send alot of stuff to them for replacement. Great company. Jesse is great to work with.

    Understanding battery charging

Get the details correct then see if the math works. Each cell in the battery is able to take about 2.4 volts. Each battery has 4 cells. Each bank has 4 batteries. 16 cells at 38.4 volts max charge voltage. Charging is done in stages. Bulk and absorption bring most of the power in at higher...

    Sterling 32v charger ?

We sell 70 to 100 amp chargers all the time. 24 and 48 volt versions. Also inverters in 12/24 and 48 volts. It's not the load that you use but the battery size (AH) that dictates the charger size. FYI a smart charger and an inverter with the same charge parameters are probably close in price...

    Copper Bonding strip?

Well that was a lot of help. On most hatts the copper strip running down the stringers is bonding. The higher up one that .ay go to the bridge is SSB counterpoise. Either way it can't hurt to re route it and re connect it to the system. Bonding has become more of an issue as time and...
