I have read a few posts on the feedback sensor leak problems here. I find myself needing to replace mine. I have elected to replace the feedback assembly rather than rebuild it because it is pitted and neglected for many years by the PO. I have a Naiad manual and schematic but I don't see any...
Looks like I will be doing this as well. Do you have to remove the hoses and the 4 hex bolts holding the actuator on or is there another way? Would be nice not to have to remove all the hoses! what a mess. Photos attached.
First of all there are numerous buck converters out there to take 32v to 24 or 12v if you want to go that route. I have both on mine - one converting 32 to 24v for my ACR Searchlight and a few others taking stuff down to 12v.
If you have overhead lights like mine through I was looking for a...
I've been working on this on and off for a couple of weeks. I finally found a nice light solution for the old Hatteras lights I wanted to share. These lights will replace all your 110v AND 32v lights! Made by juno. The LED panel is 40vdc so by removing the voltage regulator you can run them off...
So my Sentry charger is set up to cut off at 36 volts. I am having to add water every 3 months to keep them topped off sufficiently. I am wondering if this is too high. Thinking about cutting it back to 34 volts cut out?
I am scheduled to move my boat to a yard for haul out and I just noticed last night my upper helm is leaking oil from the front seal. If I were to remove the upper helm can you still operate the hynautic system from the lower helm? I don't have time to send it off or rebuild it in a week and a half!
I have a CD100 compass I removed from my Robertson when I upgraded. Make me an offer. It is complete with the housing and everything. I had to cut the cable but there is plenty to splice in to.
I think it is time to replace all of mine with new stuff. Both engines and both stations. I was thinking about ACDC Marine. They gave me a quote of $1300 to replace everything which I thought was very reasonable considering the Stewart Warner from Sam's is over $3000. Has anyone dealt with ACDC...
I have a 56MY with a spectacular aft deck that is not usable while under way due to diesel fumes rolling back in the deck. The station wagon effect! Has anyone found a solution to prevent this? It's not horrible but bad enough to make it unpleasant.
I have an ever growing to-do list at my next haulout. One thing that needs to be addressed is my current bellows, clamps and stuffing box. If i have to drop the shaft to replace the bellows should i upgrade to a dripless system or install Gore Tex? Who has done both or either?
Ok guys before I shove off in a week or so I am trying to think of the what-ifs. The anchor is sort of important! 56MY has a danforth now - honestly it looks really small for the boat but the PO swears its what they used but he never really used the boat. I can buy a brand new FX-55 for $500...
