  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
60' MOTOR YACHT (1987 - 1989)
But fuel pump took a crapper. It is a 19 8860 foot CPMY. Anybody know where I can source to get either a replacement manual pump, not electric, or a rebuild kit?

You need to post the Onan Model #, look for the part number in the manual and then do a search on internet for the specific number.

Model
20.OMDL4 3R / 30366B

I believe I am correct with the following from the parts manual for a 32V fuel pump for a 60HZ genset.
P/N is 147-0462-10 Verify with Cummins/Onan shop prior to purchase. You may have to consult with a pump rebuild shop.

This is a link to the parts manual.

Look on page 9 of the pdf doc.

Why not just use an electric lift pump ? Many Gens nowadays use them.
A couple of years ago I had a mechanical pump failure on a 45kw Ohno whirl in the Bahamas ( Cummins 4bt engine). While We have two of them I hate the thought of loosing a back up when we re on the hook for weeks. I ended up using the priming pump to keep running.

I may resort to the Elec lift pump.
What kind of issues do I have with replacement or bypass of the existing pump?
(this is the 24v pump)

Probably easy to make a blank plate and remove the mechanical pump.

A blank plate is easy. If your still using that block fuel filter, that may be challenging pending how fancy you want your new fuel lines. Ridged tubing or hose over tube/barbs.

Here is how someone removed the manual fuel pump and addd a plate. I’ve since gotten ride of the square fuel filter in favor of a spin on. The other picture is the setup for the external electric fuel pump, all outside the sound shield with a pull switch to turn it on on off.
