It’s been mentioned here that the factory transformers can also be rewired to act as a booster say from 208vac to 240. When I get some time I’ll search here because my marina electric sucks and would like to see if it’s something I can do vs a $3k+ booster.

I would contact Wards Marine Electrics in FTL. They are the experts in everything electrical especially transformers and shore systems. They can either supply the right transformer or provide advice on how to make the bigger one work.

Remember your fellow members here don't charge as much as ward's. In fact almost nobody does. But go ahead and call them.

👩‍🚒 👩‍🚒 👩‍🚒👩‍🚒 maybe its time to call in a professional. I see problems and theres no way to do this remotely.
The voice of wisdom. Electrical problems are nothing to play with. It may be the most common cause of fires on these boats. While I'm on the subject, make sure the dryer vent is clear and not full of lint. This is another common cause of fires.

I can tell you from first hand experience Wards is a a great source for electronic products. They also have great customer service but if you buy the products and install them yourself, your customer service is pretty much done at the point of sale. Scott (boatsb) is a Sam’s member who sells all of these products and I believe his prices are very comparable. I’ve never price checked because his after the sale for the DIY install customer service is bar none!
