Ft Myers - Termites !

Well, the kind that are in the boat; which now needs to be fumigated.
Anyone know of a boat yard in Ft Myers that I can use to berth the boat while it's done?

It can be done in the water. Start calling the local fumigators.

I had that issue due to all the new plywood I used during the refit. None where found in original Hatteras plywood…

My marina used to allow tenting in the slip but changed their rules… ended up doing it on the hard at the next haul out

Check with your marina if they allow it

Dry wood or sub T’s? I never thought subteranian would get on a boat until they got on my CC saw a mud tunnel coming out of the bilge for the water feed. We’re eating the coring out of the decks. They swarm and fly to look for the next victim. I Traded the dusky for an all composite one. Cant do that with our Hatts. Termador is your friend. Even after it’s treated watch for what looks like flying ants swarming. Kill every last one of them.

Well, the timing won't work in Ft Myers - so I'll have to do this in the Keys.
Marathon in January or Key West, Feb thru Apr.
Suggestions for down there?

It’s important in warm climates that you’re on the boat a lot. Just to catch things like this when it first happens. I notice that the vents in the heads let them in . Like RS Smith says kill every one . I use the strongest bug bomb available and set off several of them . Caught early , it kills them all .

i do 6 bug bombs every six months
