Hatteras Model
36' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1969 -1977)
Until a few days ago, I had had no internet or email for about ten days, following a line of intense thunderstorms which toppled a sixty-foot poplar three onto my house and garage. I was in that end of my house at the time. It was loud, to say the least.

My internet connection and email were casualties of this unpleasantness. Not for the first time, the computer problem turned out to be Comcast. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that until after the computer had been brought in to Best Buy five or six times. I am slowly getting caught up on emails, etc. I finally have an estimate for the repairs to the garage and house roofs, and I'm trying to get that work started.

If no one noticed I was absent, that's fine with me.

Once in a while, and not by choice, we make sure our cell phone hotspots work..... :(

Just happy to hear that no one was hurt!

sorry to hear of the damage, but glad no one was injured. we have nothing but problems with comcast, and that's without the problems you have. hope your house is made whole soon.
best
Joe

Jim, glad everyone is OK. Just to weigh in, instead of starlink for home, I have the Tmobile home internet. We've lost power several times here in SW Florida, and I just plug the tmobile device into my distribution panel from the generator... Works great.

Thought it was quiet and peaceful.
No trouble making kids around was actually very peaceful.
Nobody watching over me..

Tell you what; unplug your computer again for another 2 weeks and lets see if anybody not notices,,, again..
Luv ya brother but when its quiet,,,, it's quiet.

But you may have missed me eating some outdated humble pie.. (ddc part manuals)

Glad you guys are ok Jim! Welcome Back!

Appreciate all of you! Things are slowly getting back to normal. Roofing contractors were over today, work scheduled to begin Monday. I think once they get going it will go fairly quickly. Looking forward to giving up that new skylight in my garage...
