  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
60' MOTOR YACHT (1987 - 1989)
It’s with heavy hearts that we are listing Benedetto. We’ve enjoyed every minute on the her. We’ve also loved her, and it shows in her condition. As the fourth owner, we’ve looked at our ownership as stewardship knowing full well how small the community of people who own these vessels is. She came to us in great shape and we’ve kept her in that same great shape improving upon things as needed or desired.
It’s easier to list the things that we haven’t improved or replaced.
The oven, cooktop and microwave are original, and the only reason we haven’t replaced them is because they work perfectly.
Virtually everything else has been replaced, refurbished, polished, varnished or rebuilt.

Power is Detroit 8V92 TIB’s with 4100 original hours. The port motor has just been rebuilt as if we were going to own the boat for the rest of our boating careers. Oil sample history is available on request for the last 1500 hours for both engines.

There’s an ONAN 20KW generator with 2600 hours and an 8KW Kohler generator with 1700 hours. Both also have oil sample history since 2019.

Again, there are too many things to list that have been replaced, rebuilt, or serviced as far as the mechanicals of the boat go.

She also has a 3000W Victron inverter with a total of 660Ah Victron batteries. Installed under the watchful eye of Scott B.
Bow Truster, Niad stabilizers and an abundant updated or new navigation and communication package are installed.

We have receipts for almost everything - down to the screws - that we have purchased for the boat since our ownership began in October 2019. These are just a few pictures for the website. If seriously interested, I’ll be happy to send more pictures directly.

We also have the original survey and the most recent insurance survey available for serious inquiries. She’s currently located undercover at Atlantic Yacht Basin in Chesapeake, Virginia. We’ll be listing her with a broker the second week of February but we’ve posted her here for a short bit in the event a Sam’s member is interested.
$289,000 but she’ll be listed for 319,000 with the broker.

Now I can say that I've truly seen a pristine Ghetto :)

She looks amazingly well cared for. Like new. Good luck with the sale. Anyone truly interested in a Hatteras of this size should jump at this opportunity.

I see a very sad day in your future.

Thank you Sky. We think she’s nice I hope others feel the same and love her as much as we have.

:( Man I haven't even visited yet!

I think I’m only 8 hours by car from you, come on down or over!

Was she once called Rho Boat

I can't remember what the first owners named her but Marie was in the name. Second and longest owner was The Half Nelson. The third owner was The Linda Marie and Windfall after the divorce. We are the fourth owner, Benedetto.

Sorry to hear it. I was on her when she was in Stuart She’s a beaut.

dave, are you moving up, down or out of boating?

No worries Scott and she’s in even better shape now. We’ve loved her, but she was not our forever boat. In all honesty my fear is someone is going to buy it sooner than later.

I’m not sure a Hatteras is in our future so no matter what we’re moving down. We are looking to downsize slightly and pick up the ability to get up and go when we need to. I’m not retired yet so I have to split my time between work, my wife’s desires, and my passions.

Time flies, it doesn't seem that long ago that you took delivery and shared your Randy delivery stories. It is a pretty boat for sure.

Walt Hoover

She looks beautiful. You shouldn't have any problems selling her.

Thank you for the kind words, we’ve had a few serious inquiries.
