  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' DOUBLE CABIN (1962 - 1965)
I've owned and pampered this boat since 1982. I've reached the painful point as I get older that I need to let her go. She is a very solid boat (sound hull, solid decks, original leaky saloon windows replaced, Stidd helm chairs, recent Sunbrella Bimini/Aft deck cover) with sound mechanical equipment (6V53 N Detroits - 20 hours since in-frame overhaul port, 300 hours since in-frame overhaul starboard, new custom SS exhaust risers, Jet Hot ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, new Aquamet shafts, strong Westerbeke 8 kw genset). Good electronics (Furuno NavNet 3D 12" - 4 KW 3.5' open array - DFF1 600 watt depth sounder, ICOM M506 VHF with AIS, C-Tronix/Vetus autopilot). Updated electrical system (new BlueSea electrical panel, Glendenning shore power cord winder 75' 50 amp cord, Xantrex inverter). Also going with the boat is a long list of spare parts, technical information, and special tooling for engine overhaul/maintenance, controls, and other future maintenance.
She underwent a 10 years long refit by Rivolta Yachts from 2008 to 20018. Many alterations and upgrades to exterior, interior and engine spaces were performed during this refit. Many of them are detailed on this Forum in the thread 1965 41 DCMY Refit. While Rivolta did a great job on most of the work I recently discovered that they used the incorrect primer below the AllCraft finish coat during the refit so she is in need of repainting. Much of the prep work for repainting has been completed, but I am selling her as-is as relates to completing the exterior paint work. The sales price will be adjusted for the remaining paint work.
The boat is currently on the hard in Tarpon Springs Florida. If you are serious about considering purchasing the boat please contact me (anderson@competitivepower.us) sooner than later as I am also exploring donating the boat. Time is of the essence.

Sorry. I thought I replied to this on Thursday. The boat has been insured for an agreed value of $60,000 for many years regardless of how many improvements and level of maintenance activity. She surely won't bring anywhere near this needing exterior paint. So, $20,000 seems a fair starting point.

Thanks, I updated the thread title with the asking price and added a link to your refit thread to the original post.

If you have some current photos to post, that will certainly help with the sale.

I wish you the best of luck!

Some of these photos are a few years old, some are recent. Photos of the interior, helm, canvas, brightwork, engines, etc represent the current condition. The exterior paint photos do not.IMG_0901.webpIMG_0946.webpIMG_1082.webpIMG_5704.webp

All vertical flat walls are covered with white linen appearance formica. The aft cabin is converted to a queen bed from the original twins.IMG_6075.webpIMG_6082.webpIMG_6084.webpIMG_6085.webp

The galley appliances are only a few years old. The refrigerator includes an ice maker. The air horns are Kahlenberg. The main engines start with a KBi super capacitor. All interior and exterior lighting, except for the spot/flood light are LED. The 7" Jabsco remote control spot/flood is a few years old.IMG_9954.webpPort Eng.webp

Nice looking boat. Someone is getting a deal, even with the need for paint.

If you can't get 20k for that tomorrow, somethings really wrong in the boat world!! Pretty boat!

Did you assemble that TV cabinet in the salon? It's beautiful, but it doesn't look like it would fit down the stairway.

It was custom built in place. Upper unit is attached to the bulkhead. The lower unit is on concealed casters so it rolls out of the way for access to the engine room hatch below it. The casters run it fiberglass channels to align it when putting it back in place. The upper and lower curved corner panels swing out on concealed hinges. The upper port curved panel conceals a latch that lets the TV swing to starboard for access to electronics and Furuno boxes on the bulkhead behind the TV. The starboard upper corner panel conceals the TV antenna electronics. The lower corner panels conceal rattle free latches that secure the lower unit to the bulkhead. There are ventilation slots in the back of the lower unit and bottom and top of the upper unit. Black brushes fill the gaps around the perimeter between the upper and lower units and the bottom of the lower unit and the cabin sole to prevent small items from getting lost in these spaces.
