My 1983 53MY is gonna be hauled and I can't find the plates that mark where to place the slings. I found a spot where a plate was as the two holes are still visible towards the aft but nothing forward. Did that plate mark a sling point or where the keel ends?

Re: Sling points
Look at the bulkheads behind the engines. That's close enough to the aft lift point.
The forward point is usually forward of the engines near the next bulkhead.Scott

Re: Sling points
Here is a picture of mine getting lifted out. I've had the front sling a couple of feet more forward on other lifts, but the back one needs to be where it is in the picture.

Re: Sling points
If you have the Graving Plan you can get a good idea where the straps need to be placed.

Re: Sling points
Once you haul and they have the slings in the proper place, take a picture like Gary’s and keep it on board to give to the travel lift driver on next haul. The drivers love having a picture like that. John

Even better, have 4 SS engraved plates made: "Sling Here" takes ALL the guess work out of it.
