That's a 45' Whitcraft. It was built by a division of North American Rockwell which also owned Hatteras. There is NO other connection between the 2 boats or builders.

If Jake is selling his boat, van, and mooring spot, he either hit the lotto or someone is hot on his trail...

I've never seen a 45' Whitcraft but remember admiring a 50' Gold Coast coastal cruiser on the river here when I was a kid. As best I recall, Whitcraft and Gold Coast were the same company, or at least they shared that particular mold.

I'd be interested in that one if it had a bigger TV.

From the web: Top photo is a 50 Whitcraft and bottom photo is a 45 Whitcraft.

Re: I didn't know Hatteras made Houseboats

I hate to say this but some 'hatteras MY do look like trailers or house boats... There is newly arrived 80s vintage 70ish MY here with no side decks, no aft deck (just a ridiculously small balcony) and a stubby short foredeck with almost no seating or room for more than 3 people to stand...

    It looks like floating trailer

Yep, you can see the family resemblance in the hull, but the 50 is a lot prettier. I still think the 50 is a great looking coastal cruiser.

Painful to admit this, but I agree with you. (Did I say that out loud?)
