    Re: Preferred battery for inverter.

I install a bank of 8 L-16 in series for a 48v inverter magnum 4400 watt split phase inverter works great I use solar and 8kw genset to charge the batteries. I have plenty of power to run the boat. i usually only discharge them to 60 % can go several days without running the genset. with
1200 watts of solar... L-16s are the most bang for the buck. they should last for 5-10yrs

    Re: Preferred battery for inverter.

I prefer to have a separate bank form any inverters, and no one I’m aware of has ever complained of having to many AH. Currently in the process of finalizing my equipment list and planning the installation of a pair of Victron inverter/chargers, along with their Victron batt management system and their LiIon batts. So far the buy in is steep, however if their cycle tolerance is as good as advertised I believe the real cost, over time is less than lead acid, of which ever chemistry, for the amount of power I want.

    HOF members.

And of course hot members means Florida boaters because it's always hot here.

Can anyone tell me if their boat is panelled with omarosa? How do you manage to keep it right?

I don't know, but don't get rid of it. It will write a nasty book about you.
