    my 83 yr old neighbor is interested in this as a dock queen...

    Before my 50', I used to own almost the twin to that boat. For one or two people, it would be a really comfortable liveaboard vessel. You can refinish the salon's woodwork in just a few weeks, there's not really a lot of wallspace there.

    Too bad he wants it as a dock queen. That was one of the best sea-boats I've ever run as far a a semi-displacement motoryacht goes. The heavy hull and low center of gravity allows it run in almost any sea condition. I was out in stuff with that boat that I would not really want to run my 50' in! We were the slowest boat in a group that we used to cruise with at times, and we were always first in or in with the first group when the weather turned really nasty. It's one of those boats that cruises at one speed....no matter what.

    Bottom line...good boat to tinker with to live on IMO.
