I worked at a marine consulting/surveying/engineering firm for one of my "jobs" (wait, they don't count as real work, I'm too young LOL). Anyway, a large part of their business was casualty investigations for insurance companies and almost all of that work was BIG SHIPS.
When I was bored, I'd browse through old pictures of past "projects". You wanna talk about some cool shit. That boat aground is nothing compared to some of the stuff they had.
I thought about going into the industry (specifically salvage). Then I realized I'd spend a lot of time sitting around waiting for ships to sink LOL. Also, it's a very cutthroat industry, just like towing business on land.
