Re: Parts source for Perkins Kohler
What do you need? I have access to 2 20 KW kohlers removed from Hatts.
1 with bad end , the other with rewound end and stuck engine.

Did you try the Perkins dealer? If they don't have what you need, maybe they can point you in the right direction.

Re: Parts source for Perkins Kohler
You might try Diesel Don's, Scottsboro, AL. I know he maintains some used parts from genny take-outs, many of which are Kohler/Perkins. He has always been fair with me. He replaced a 20kw Kohler for me with a new NL 12kw.
His number is 256-259-6432, cell 256-259-7728. Good luck.Bear'

Re: Parts source for Perkins Kohler
I had and got rid of the 20KW Kohler in my 56. It has been referred to as the red-headed step child of the Kohler line. As I am sure you know, it has no separate starter. If you did not yet buy it, I would respectfully suggest staying away from it. If you did, I hope you have better luck with it than I did.

Re: Parts source for Perkins Kohler
I'm not putting one in I have 2 in our 61. I've had no trouble at all with them just looking for some service parts and thinking about getting a cheap take out just for parts that are no longer available.

Ok. I had nothing but trouble in my 56 in particular with the 32 volt exciter as a starter.
