Bill,
sounds like the Senica (God bless her) is the most worthy of all!
Before we say that this guy has more money than brains we should remember that many a successful venture sarted out with very questionable origins.
Hope he has deep pockets!
Wish I could help.Capt'n Bill

Re: Another adventure
Ya know...with the price of scrap steel today, the kid might be on to something. Maybe he picked up the hulk for a song and plans to scap or part it out. He'll still have 1 or 2 working tugs and probably enough money from the salvage project to pay for it.
Don't laugh - the joke may be on us!

Re: Another adventure
All 3 of those tugs were on ebay. Saw them there a few weeks ago. I was shopping for a tug for the non-profit Atlantic Maritime School. www.maritimeschool.org I'm on the Advisory Board. Luckily, we found a local boat that has been loaned to us. Our Capt. was not looking forward to a trip home from the Lakes to the Chesapeake on a project tug!
We still need a big barge. Anyone out there have spare?Last edited by SeaEric; 08-15-2007 at 10:37 PM.
