    We had a training instructor demonstrating shop safety. When they got to the joiner he ran it up and edged a piece of wood. Eager to show off his prowess, he grabbed the guard and while saying "whatever you do, DONT do this", swung the guard over while the knives were still turning
    Whatever I do, I will NEVER do that. His name was Larry the Legend before that. Not a dummy, he was also a fire department captain.
    Ya gotta keep your wits about you when dealing with this stuff; skin and bones wont even make power tools burp !! ws

    Thanx guys.

    I always try to keep my fingers out of harms way.

    In fact my wife and daughter now enter my shop slowly, and never tap me on the shoulder, ect... to get my attention while I have tools running.

    The jointer/planer is actually the 6" model. Comes pre-wired for 110V but is switchable to 220V

    Putting that 200 lb table on the base unit was "kind of tricky" ......my back keeps saying OUCH !!
