Laurentide, our stabilized 1983 53 Classic Motoryacht, is now for sale. She has been in fresh water since 1990, and has been exceptionally well cared for. She has just had her starboard engine rebuilt by an authorized DD service center, (which carries a two year written warranty) and we have just completed an extensive remodel of the entire galley which includes corian counters, new stainless steel appliances, new upholstry, and new Lonseal teak and holly flooring. The interior woodwork has been well cared for and remains a warm and inviting color; she is not discolored or overly darkened, and none of it has been painted over. Her bottom was completely redone with 5 coats of Interprotect 2000 epoxy and has NO blisters. She has new 52 oz. carpet in the main saloon and aft deck. She has all new batteries and recent electronics with color weather radar display superimposed over Garmin nautical charts. This is a true turn key yacht...nothing is lacking! If you are seriously in the market for an exceptional latter model 53, I invite you to consider Laurentide...she is a cut above and will please a discriminating owner.
A few of her pictures can be seen on this site under owner's gallery...click on "d" and look for Dave Phipps...other photos and our phone number can be found at http://www.53classichatteras.com.
Over 42K spent over the last 6 months. Asking a very reasonable $349,900, which represents honest value for an exceptional yacht.
