I need to replace the port side gate railing on my 53 MY. The hinges had been removed years before I got the boat 9 years ago and it was modified to fit securely inplace when closed. At any rate , the delivery captain knocked it in the water during a fuel stop and didn't tell me about it untill hours later. I arranged for a diver to go back to the spot but no luck. Boy do I miss my old captain!
At any rate I need to replace the piece. A hinged gate would be fine and easily modified but failing that any ideas about finding or fabricating a new one?

I had lunch today with Steve from SAM's. He has, in stock, all of this gate and rail hardware. Give him a call or send him an e-mail.
