    1968 Hatteras 38 Double Cabin Motor Yacht

    The Hatteras 38 Double Cabin has more living space than you will find in most boats many feet longer. Here is a yacht that sleeps 6 with complete privacy and offers traditional yachting charm. Forward there is a large V-berth that sleeps two and offers a huge hanging locker, overhead venting hatch, 4 side portlights, and ample drawer storage below the berths. Forward to port, there is a private head with shower, electric marine toilet with holding tank, sink with vanity, and ample storage. Forward to starboard, there is a guest stateroom with 2 bunks, and a large hanging locker. The master stateroom is aft and features two full-sized berths with a large dresser, large hanging locker, built-in bookcases, and access to the private head. The aft master head features a seperate stall shower, electric marine toilet with holding tank, sink with vanity and ample storage. The main salon is bright and airy thanks to her large windows and features a custom sofa, large pull-out/folding dinette table, fold-out bulkhead mounted table, and 2 wicker chairs. The galley is located aft to starboard in the main salon and offers a Sub-Zero refrigerator & freezer, Princess 3-burner electric stove with oven, stainless steel sink with hot & cold pressure water system, newer water heater, microwave oven and ample storage above and below the large counters. Her aft deck is large enough to entertain all your guests and features a full hardtop with enclosures (new in 2000), built-in aft bench seat with cushions, swivel helm seat, and removable carpeting. The foredeck is accessed via large/wide sidedecks and offers a built-in bench seat forward with custom canvas cover, stainless steel bow rail and stanchions, and anchor roller. She is powered by twin closed-cooled 427/300 hp Chris Craft Inboards.     Saw your ad for your 38. Did you ever sell it, and if so, what did you get. I'm curious because I am looking at a 1968, 41 ft priced at $54,900. Do you think that's is fair price? It's listed now on Yacht World, in Beaufort, NC in case you want to check the specs. Thanks for whatever advice you can give. __Capt Ratty
