I recently purchased my boat. The engine alarm stays on after the engines are warmed. All gauges and functions are normal, but the alarm doesn't turn off without turning off the starboard ignition.Any ideas?

Bad switch or a short in the wiring.

Assuming your oil pressure is OK, it could be the oil alarm sender or a short. To isolate the problem I would start by running a fresh wire from the oil alarm sender directly to the busser (without running it thru the channels), start the engine and see what happens. If that doesn't work, try a new sender.

If it's the wiring, forget about tracking it down, just run new wire.
